30 Day Challenge—Day 2
Write About the Best Friends You’ve Had
My oldest friend is Grace Anne Coburn. We’ve been super close since kindergarten. Sure, there have been ups and downs, but I always have fun with her. I can tell her anything and everything. Lately, when we hang out, it has to be on the weekends since she’s still in Florence, and I’m at Freed. We know we’re getting old because we’re ready for bed by 10:00. She can fall asleep in two seconds and when she’s doing that I know it’s her bedtime! We’re going to a Backstreet Boys concert in June and I’m super pumped….we screamed about it for a good 15 minutes after we got tickets :) My favorite memories with her (well some of them) have to be while we were in the band (we were nerds together). She played trombone and was drum major and I played the flute and was a majorette. We went to St. Louis, Disney World and New York together. Saw Beauty and the Beast on broadway, got lost in China Town and went up in the St. Louis Arch. We’ve had some crazy times! We’re gonna be friends forever :)

Growing up, I had a group of girls that I had triple or quadruple sleepovers with. We would spend the night at all of our houses 3-4 nights in a row. Lindsey, Ann Marie, Grace Anne and I had a starburst jellybean, cheeto and Dr. Pop fetish. We had to have those things at every single sleepover. In the summers, we would go to each others VBS’s and spent 4 weeks out of the summer together every single day. Sometimes more than that. We had beauty pageants, photo shoots and swimming parties. If you got one of us, you got the others. I love thinking about those days. We stayed friends. I still see them all when I’m home for Christmas and in the summers. Ann Marie and Lindsey are married now, and Lindsey just had a baby. It’s crazy how we grow up…
Since I’ve been at Freed, I have the best group of friends ever. My roommate, Casey, and I have the same brain….for real. We don’t even have to finish things we start to say because we’re that good. I would say one of my favorite memories of us, but there are way too many :) Ok…just one. Drove to Nashville area to go shopping one weekend, and wound up going all the way to Will’s house because the gps took us there instead of Cheesecake Factory. I could almost promise we didn’t touch the thing and it was possessed. Then, on the way back to school, we get lost and the iPod dies. So, we’re stuck with nothing. We end up back at school at around 2:30….waaay past our curfew. Best night ever.

Stokely Ronk. One of the original “girls night” girls :) I got to be a part of her day of finding her wedding dress. I’ll never forget that! She’s this crazy fun girl that I never stop laughing with. Favorite memory (one of them) was rolling Freed Hardeman streets with stolen toilet paper and getting pulled over by 4 cop cars. Stokes had toilet paper hanging out of her trunk! We had to pick every piece up (even though Scott Huff had already started, haha). She made me fall in love with McDonald’s sweet tea. I’ll be forever grateful :)

Then, there’s the Wolfpack girls: Lana, Haley, K-Foy, Chelsea, Andrea, Stokely, Case, Hannah, Rachie and Nancy. That was the best weekend ever. We took a roadtrip to Haley and Hannah’s house in Misourri. Greatest car ride and trip EVER! Cliff jumping, swiming, pictures galore, beautiful sunset, singing under the stars, and bonding time (aka kitchen table. enough said). Love these girls :)

There have been many more friends and memories, but these are just a few. I’ll never forget my childhood friends, or friends I’ve made at Freed. I love each and every one of you :)
