For Valentine’s Day, my sweet, sweet boyfriend got me Dove chocolate (yummmmmy). If you’ve never had it, on the wrapper there’s a little saying. Today’s saying was “Clear your mind and enjoy this moment.” So, I did. I’m sitting in my room studying, listening to music and eating Dove chocolate. Perfect setting for a college student, right? It’s not that I particularly enjoy studying, but I enjoy that I can do it. I can be a student at a Christian university and learn about God and my future profession. I have the freedom and the right to listen to whatever I want while I study from books written by intellectual people. I can go out and be with friends and family and not have to worry about being judged, condemned or chastised. I’m able to enjoy the little moments without any fear or worry to cloud my mind. A lot of people in this world don’t have that privilege. I’m so thankful for the things that God has given me to enjoy! So, thank you sweet Will for the chocolate and thank you Dove for helping me enjoy this otherwise normal moment.
